Jaguero return with “Hold Me Close / Monday,” a powerful double single arriving today that offers the first full glimpse into the emotional landscape of their upcoming debut album Make Me Feel Alive Again, due April 10, 2026 via Anchors Aweigh Records.
The release highlights the two contrasting but complementary forces that define Jaguero’s sound: urgency and vulnerability, catharsis and reflection.
“Hold Me Close” channels the pressure of a society obsessed with achievement and constant performance. Built on raw intensity and driving energy, the track pushes back against narrow definitions of success, instead centering human connection and emotional honesty. It’s both an outburst and a realization — a reminder that fragility itself can be a form of strength.
On the other side, “Monday” shifts into a softer, more intimate space. Almost ballad-like in its approach, the song explores commitment, exhaustion, and the quiet resilience required to show up for the people who matter most. It captures the weight of emotional fatigue — the feeling of an endless “Blue Monday” — while offering hope in the knowledge that even the heaviest days eventually pass.
Together, “Hold Me Close” and “Monday” paint a vivid portrait of Jaguero’s dual identity: unfiltered and aggressive on one end, tender and introspective on the other — both converging toward the emotional core of Make Me Feel Alive Again.
Formed in 2021, Jaguero is a punk/emo band from Vicenza, Italy featuring members of Slander, Regarde, and La Fortuna. Following the release of their EPs Worst Weekend Ever (2022) and New Love (2023), produced by Maurizio Baggio at La Distilleria and released via Epidemic Records, the band quickly gained momentum with festival appearances and international shows. Those early releases were later compiled into a limited-edition self-titled vinyl.
With their debut full-length album, Jaguero push further into emotional extremes — blending punk urgency, grunge grit, and melodic hooks while staying rooted in the DIY spirit of small rooms and packed club floors, where shared experience matters more than genre boundaries.
