Multi-instrumentalist Paul Dunne has returned with “Still Standing Still,” the lead single from his latest Acid Smoothie LP, Carts in the Rain. The project serves as a reawakening of Dunne’s older compositions, viewed through the sharpened, more mature lens of his current musical identity.

“Still Standing Still” is a track defined by its driving haste and jagged guitar lines, perfectly echoing the song’s themes of missed connections and a yearning for the future. It captures a sense of restless energy that permeates the entire Carts in the Rain album. For fans of Dunne’s previous solo work, this release offers a fascinating evolution of his sound, one that is faster, sharper, and more focused than ever before.
