Dublin duo T R Y S T E has released their stunning new EP, ‘To Rise You Seek The End,’ melding emotional atmospherics with crushingly heavy sounds. The result is “emotionally heavy, heavy music,” blending the soaring melodies of Jeff Buckley with the vastness of black-gaze (Holy Fawn, Deafheaven) and the elegance of post-rock. The EP, which follows the single ‘Vessel,’ is laden with emotional contrasts, exploring mental health, mortality, and the compulsion to create, all draped in distorted guitars and swelling synth pads.
