Lindsay Anderson’s New Art-Pop Album Is A Surrealist, Feminist Journey

Lindsay Anderson has released her new 12-song conceptual album, Forgiving, today (Nov 7, 2025). Inspired by the surrealist painters Leonora Carrington and Max Ernst, the album is Anderson’s journey to reclaim her voice in male-dominated creative spaces. Fusing autobiography with dream logic, her art-pop songs navigate the liminal space between desire and self-liberation, meeting characters like an older, restless Alice. At its core, Forgiving is a timeless love story—intense, impractical, and a deep meditation on finding one’s true self.
