New York City’s Weird Magazines blend jangle pop, post-punk, and dream pop on their new EP Out of Faith, released October 3rd. Formed by former members of Psychic Selves, Plastic Flowers, and Frank (Just Frank), the five-piece crafts a lush, melodic sound steeped in nostalgia yet grounded in modern indie charm. Their music nods to The Cure, The Radio Dept., and Prefab Sprout, driven by sharp guitar hooks, sardonic baritone vocals, and a concise pop sensibility. Out of Faith captures the bittersweet beauty of love, longing, and urban melancholy through an unmistakably NYC lens.
