Cincinnati singer-songwriter Maura Weaver (Mixtapes, Ogikubo Station, The Mimes) has unveiled her sophomore album Strange Devotion, out now via Feel It Records. The ten-track LP expands on her acclaimed debut I Was Due For A Heartbreak with sharper performances and layered storytelling. Weaver embraces jangly pop hooks, indie-rock edge, and heartfelt lyricism, evoking influences from Liz Phair to Teenage Fanclub. Recorded with John Hoffman and featuring members of Vacation, The Afghan Whigs, WHY?, and more, the record balances catchy immediacy with contemplative depth. Strange Devotion cements Weaver as one of indie rock’s most compelling new voices.
