Irish collective Peer Pleasure unveil their vital new single “Rooms”, released ahead of their set at Berlin’s 8MM Festival, curated by Anton Newcombe (The Brian Jonestown Massacre). Frontman Brandon Murphy’s lyrics stitch together overheard fragments from NA and AA meetings, exploring addiction and recovery with brutal honesty. The track builds from proto-country-punk riffs into a manic, theremin-laced crescendo, before collapsing into distorted drum machines. Recorded at Red Convertible Studios in New York, “Rooms” captures Peer Pleasure’s restless spirit and genre-blurring sound. With sold-out shows across Europe, the band continues carving their own path, pandering to no one but themselves.
