Malaysian dark rock outfit Hauntu have released the official video for “The Knife,” the latest single from their forthcoming album The Unknown Reigns, due November 14, 2025 via Sell The Heart Records (US) and Engineer Records (UK). Following their 2024 EP I, which earned a nomination at the San Diego Music Awards, Hauntu return with ten uncompromising tracks that confront life under late-stage capitalism and rising authoritarianism. Frontwoman Rebecca’s vocals, raw, emotive, and powerful, contrast sharply with the band’s aggressive, genre-spanning instrumentation, drawing comparisons to icons like Patti Smith while remaining uniquely her own. The Unknown Reigns will be available on limited 12” Coke Bottle Clear with Red vinyl (200 pressed), CD, and digital formats.
