Punk legends Circle Jerks have teamed up once again with Trust Records for a deluxe reissue of their landmark 1983 album Golden Shower of Hits. Remastered from the original analog tapes and featuring updated artwork, unseen Glen E. Friedman photos, and multiple vinyl variants, this marks the first time the original tapes have been revisited in 40 years.
The reissue coincides with frontman Keith Morris’ 70th birthday, celebrated with a special Hollywood Palladium show on September 19 featuring Ceremony, Rocket From the Crypt, and Negative Approach. Exclusive merch—including a limited-edition 7-inch of “When the Shit Hits the Fan” and a Shepard Fairey-designed birthday poster—will be available at the show.
Originally released in 1983, Golden Shower of Hits cemented Circle Jerks’ place in punk history with its biting hardcore sound and infamous medley title track. More than four decades later, the album remains a cornerstone of the genre, its raw energy still reverberating across generations.
