Caribbean punk-rock trio Kröna will release their fiery new single “The Weasel Strut” on October 10, just before their Miami show at Las Rosas on October 11. The track previews their upcoming debut album Dead Air Diaries, set to drop November 22 via Merenpón Records.
“The Weasel Strut” is a razor-sharp critique of cultural stagnation and rigid thinking, blending punk urgency with Caribbean groove. “This song critiques narrow-mindedness and stubborn adherence to outdated beliefs,” the band explains. “It challenges the listener to break free from rigid thinking and to reconsider their perspectives.”
Formed in Santo Domingo in 2024, Kröna, Cristóbal (vocals/guitar), JP (bass/vocals), and drummer Chino (Zeta), bring hardcore energy and reggae rhythms into a “dance-in-the-pit” sound. Following “The Weasel Strut,” they’ll release “Chasing Shadows” on November 5, ahead of their fall tour across the Southeast and East Coast, culminating in a December 20 hometown show in the Dominican Republic.
With Dead Air Diaries, Kröna position themselves as one of the most exciting punk bands to emerge from the Caribbean, uniting resistance, pride, and raw energy on a global stage.
