Belgium’s punk rock heavyweights Captain Kaiser are back with “Dancefloor”, the fiery new single from their upcoming album Belgian Boy, out October 10th via [PIAS] Recordings.
With its upbeat riff and bittersweet energy, Dancefloor is an anthem for outcasts and underdogs. Blending punk urgency with post-punk textures reminiscent of The Cure and DIIV, it’s a track that embraces darkness while still letting the light shine through.
Over eight years, Captain Kaiser has cemented themselves as one of Belgium’s most vital punk voices. Frontman Sascha Vansant sees punk as more than a genre, it’s a mindset: uncompromising, loud, and honest. The accompanying video, directed by Vincent Van Hoorick, stages a chaotic Flemish wedding, perfectly capturing the song’s mix of joy and unease.
