Primitive Language return with Beetle Foot, a psych-rock journey that blends hard rock muscle, jam-band looseness, and a kaleidoscope of influences, all delivered with the electricity of a live show. The band cites inspirations ranging from German rock legends Can and Neu to 80s icons Midnight Oil and Magazine, with splashes of Joe Satriani’s guitar wizardry and Dick Dale’s surf energy.
Formed as a side project while members played in post-rock outfit Faspeedelay, Primitive Language has evolved into a creative force since their 2016 self-titled EP, with Thin Men (2022), Blood on the Moon (2023), and Schokolade (2024) cementing their indie pop and psych-rock credibility. Beetle Foot stands as their most expansive work yet, a sonic snapshot of where they are now, and where they’re headed. Available on all major platforms and as a limited edition CD via Bandcamp.
