“Too Tired To Love You” is the new single by artist Ron Gallo. The song is being released [today] on all digital platforms by Kill Rock Stars.

“Too Tired To Love You” is a little bossa nova that, in short, is about how modern stage capitalism is making everything go to shit,” comments Ron. “In America we live in a system where 99% of people are overworked, exploited and worn down, which leads to apathy, which leads to neglect of our surroundings and our sense of humanity. It creates this “everyone for themself” individualistic society which creates imaginary division amongst the people in order for very few to thrive. No one seems to have the time, energy or resources to create the changes they wish to see in the world so we just put our heads down and hope someone else takes care of it. The song is about my desire to combat that because it’s really unnatural and destructive. It’s on us, here and now. It all matters, everything we do matters even when it seems trivial. No one else is coming to fix it.”

Ron Gallo is an ever-evolving artist whose work straddles the line between confrontational and compassionate, absurd and sincere. With a career defined by sharp wit, garage-punk chaos, and existential inquiry, he’s long used music as a way to wrestle with the contradictions of modern life. After years of genre-hopping, world touring, and throwing punches at society’s failings, Gallo now finds himself in a quieter but no less urgent mode—one rooted in clarity, immediacy, and a return to the essence of songwriting.

In early 2024, he began 7AM Songs of Resistance for the Internet—a daily songwriting series where he wakes up, reflects on the world, and writes a raw, unfiltered song in under five minutes. The result has been over 65 songs and counting, with viral moments like the satirical “If Only Zelenskyy Had A Nice Suit” and the defiant “Jesus Was A Radical.” The project has caught the attention of SZA, Kathleen Hanna, Moby, Mark Ruffalo, and millions online, and marks a turning point for Gallo: fewer layers, more truth.

Gallo’s past work includes the acclaimed HEAVY META (2017), the genre-defying PEACEMEAL (2020), and the fiery FOREGROUND MUSIC (2023), along with a companion concert film and book. He’s performed at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Newport Folk Festival, and shared the stage with Wilco, Courtney Barnett, and Ty Segall, among others.

Now entering a new chapter, Gallo is reconnecting with what first drew him to music: words, voice, and the urgency to say something real—before the world fully falls apart.
