Kicking off with seductive guitar and pounding drums, that’s how SALVIA gets you going with aptly named new single ‘Adrenaline’. Blending dark wave and gothic indie with shoegazy postpunk, it’s the atmospheric reverb sound of The Cure or Bauhaus filtering through.
SALVIA is the project of Ukrainian-born Nicole Selivan, who began collaborating with members of The Haunted Youth after fleeing the war and relocating to Belgium.
Supported by KEXP, SALVIA has become one of the most talked-about new acts in the Benelux. This fall, they’ll take the stage at renowned showcase festivals such as Left of the Dial (NL), Fifty Lab (BE), and Reeperbahn Festival (DE).
