Philadelphia punk trio Dark Thoughts have dropped a fiery new promo tape, offering a taste of their upcoming album Highway To The End. The tape includes three original tracks—“Slept til 2,” “So Alone,” and “Bubble’s Gonna Burst,” each bursting with the band’s signature blend of melodic haste and Ramonescore energy.
Also included is a raw and reverent cover of the Ramones’ “What’s Your Game,” previously released on Drunk Dial Records’ Stay Home compilation. Clocking in at just the right level of lo-fi grit and infectious hooks, the tape serves as a nostalgic nod and a forward-looking teaser.
With Highway To The End on the horizon, this promo tape is a must for fans of no-frills punk rock. Fast, tight, and catchy, Dark Thoughts once again prove they’re among the most consistent voices in modern DIY punk.
