Rise Of The Northstar And Landmvrks Join Forces On New Track “Back 2 Basics”

As the band hits the stages of the biggest international summer festivals and spreads its furyo style to thousands of people, Rise Of The Northstar are back with a new brand single: “Back 2 Basics,” a crushing track on which the band joins forces with another well-known name on the French scene: Landmvrks

The first hails from Paris, the second from Marseille, but both are fighting for the same thing: To raise the flag high for their national metal scene. Mixed and mastered by Florent Salfati (lead singer of Landmvrks), this song has a message that couldn’t be clearer: Get back — get back 2 basics!

“LDMVS and ROTNS have been sharing the stage for 10 years. Throughout our respective careers, we’ve been fighting to keep a ‘new generation’ of extreme music alive in France. There’s nothing harder than striving on your own, keeping your inner flame burning against all odds in order to fulfill yourself. We wanted to crystallize that in a radical and direct track. A return to the roots, to remind those who talk down on us that we haven’t let go of our dreams, and that we intend to raise high the banner of French Metal.” — Vithia — Vocals, Rise of the Northstar

“‘Back 2 Basics’ marks the beginning of our collaboration with Flo from Landmvrks. I wrote this track with the desire to break away from our usual habits, by offering a more melodic chorus designed to create a strong contrast with the rest of the song. We explored several vocal ideas, and that’s when the thought of inviting Flo came up, we knew he could truly elevate the song. To our great pleasure, he immediately accepted the invitation. After recording vocal parts in his studio in Marseille, he sent us a mix that instantly convinced everyone. The sound, the energy, the precision…everything was there. This track was a turning point: from that moment on, it was clear we wanted him to handle the mixing and mastering of our next album.”  Eva-B —Lead guitar, Rise of the Northstar

“Having grown up heavily influenced by manga, anime, and hardcore music, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for ROTNS’s sound and style. They’re innovative, unique, and it was a real pleasure to join forces with them on a track. Get ready for a new banger!” — Flo — Vocals, Landmvrks

“Metal-HxC-Rap-Manga:” Four words that perfectly define Rise Of The Northstar’s singularity.

Originating from the Parisian suburbs, the band claims an independent attitude and an uncompromising artistic crossover, having propagated and refined its explosive visual and sonic cocktail for over a decade.

At the crossroads of urban reality and Japanese fiction, with three EPs and three albums, the band has forged a unique style and identity over time, coupled with a solid reputation as a monster of stage energy.

Banger after banger, ROTN counts tens of millions of streams on its platforms, have recorded with Joe Duplantier of Gojira, and still make the whole world jump, driven by powerful, groovy and thrashy songs like “Here Comes The Boom,” “Again and Again,” and “Showdown,” eponymous track from their latest album released in April 2023…

Deal with this, from Paris with (one) love.
