New York City’s loudest sons are back. After five long years, WYLDLIFE returns swinging with sorted., their latest full-length LP dropping May 16 on Wicked Cool Records. Recorded over three years across half a dozen studio sessions, sorted. is a snarling, swaggering sonic mélange of all things rock ‘n’ roll.

“It’s like dumping out a big box of puzzle pieces,” says frontman and lyricist Dave Feldman. “It’s all over the place — and so are we. But now, it’s sorted.” The title is both a nod to British slang and a tongue-in-cheek reflection on the long road to its creation. But those pieces snap together into ten wonderful, disjointed yet somehow homogenous tracks that hit hard, fast and filthy – delivering WYLDLIFE’s trademark cocktail of catchy, irreverent, and razor-sharp rock with more bite than ever.

The opening riff of “Bystander” hits like a boot to the chest, and from the anthemic, shout-along “Fast Dreams,” to the glam-jangle of “Dizzy” and the melodic road-trip of “Shotgun,” sorted. is the sound of a band aging without ever growing up. Imagine early ‘70s Stones brawling with The Hives in a dive bar bathroom while Johnny Thunders grins in the corner, that’s the energy WYLDLIFE bottles and breaks open here. Five albums in, they’re not just here to party – they’re here to remind you why you fell in love with rock ‘n’ roll in the first place.

If you thought rock was dead, this album kicks down the door, pours a beer on your head, and screams: “We’re just getting started.” sorted.
