Greater Los Angeles metallic hardcore band Cassetta has officially released their highly anticipated new EP, In Darkness Our Roots Will Rot, available now on all major streaming platforms. The four-track collection marks the band’s latest chapter, delivering a brutal blend of raw aggression and haunting introspection.
Self-produced by the band and mixed by Jeff Dunne (Knocked Loose, Ice Nine Kills, Emmure), In Darkness Our Roots Will Rot captures Cassetta’s signature intensity while pushing their sound into even darker and more visceral territory. The EP’s lead single, “Azrael,” offers a relentless barrage of chaotic energy and guttural emotion — a fitting preview of the devastation the full release delivers.
Cassetta will debut all 4 songs from In Darkness Our Roots Will Rot live at their EP release show this Friday (March 7), at Gilmore Music in Long Beach, CA, alongside Duhkha, Abominate, Takedown, and Marrow. Stream the EP today on Bandcamp, Youtube, Spotify or Apple Music and experience the latest evolution of Cassetta’s crushing sound.
