With a CV as long as your arm, the history of the five original members of NECKHOLE dates back to the 1980s. Speed metal, crossover, punk, and melodic hardcore have shaped the band just as much as concerts in dive bars, squats, bar fights, and other forms of debauchery.
The list of bands the guys have played in would fill another arm with ink; STRATSON, TEARS OF A DOLL, SICK MY DUCK, NO MORE, NFI, LOBSTER KILLED ME, NOTHING MORE, etc and the combination of the two gives us the up yours attitude of these veterans of the French punk scene.
With the same line-up since 2003, the band has produced five EPs, a split CD, numerous demos and even the theme song for a TV show!
NECKHOLE’s new release, the eight-song mini-album ‘Angry Day‘ continues to deliver driving melodic punk and draws its influences from hardcore to pop-punk.
With lyrics oozing a sensitivity that’s been scorched at both ends, listening to ANGRY DAY is like a summary of a punk rockers bad day in music, it will add that bit of dirt to your collection without damaging your turntable.
‘Angry Day’ will be released on 14th February on digipak CD and across all digital channels jointly by ChanMax Records and Engineer Records.
