The music video for When Skies Are Grey was created last summer in collaboration with the renowned British photographer and videographer Steve Gullick at the historic Gaswerk in Winterthur. This marks the fourth collaboration with Gullick and seamlessly aligns with his artistic style.
The song delves into the profound connection between two people who provide support to one another—especially during times when their days are marked by gloomy monotony. The narrative draws on the timeless symbolism of the “grey gentlemen” from Momo—those figures who spread fear and terror and seek to captivate the world. This theme seems particularly relevant today. As the grey gentlemen once again attempt to sow unrest, the song and video remind us that it is up to us not to let them steal our time. Instead, we choose to give it to our loved ones—people who, in the face of all adversity, live hope as a form of resistance.
