French post-rock band, Hanging Fields was founded in 2022 by Nicolas Bredin, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist, with the idea of combining its ambient and metal influences, Paradise Lost and their approach to melody being for Hanging Fields the main reference. If Nicolas composes all the band’s music, other musicians and friends join and contribute with their feelings. After a first EP, Fragments (2022), Nicolas and Frédéric Motte (bass) released in 2024 the first LP Pictures, of which four tracks appear on the OST of the video game Under the Waves, developed by the French studio Parallel Studio.
These tracks (Chloe, Dust, Float, 0042) and the entire album Pictures are available on Spotify and all other streaming platforms. Hanging Fields seeks to make its music better known and distribute it better to also give meaning to their creation. So, the vinyl mastering and the artwork of the LP Pictures are ready, the band is looking for a label to do the pressing and distribute it. Suspended Time, a new single performed entirely by Nicolas, opens a new chapter, onto which several musicians gradually add to release a new LP in 2025.
