Phantom Handshakes is a lo-fi dream-pop collaboration between Matt Sklar and Federica Tassano. Based in New York City, the band has released two full length albums, an EP and a number of singles since it began in the Spring of 2020. All of their releases were self-recorded by the band and have received some nice mentions from various blogs and websites. Their newest album, Sirens At Golden Hour, is streaming everywhere now.
Sirens At Golden Hour is an album that lives in that moment when twilight transitions to darkness, symbolizing both a physical occurrence and a personal emotion. It’s a voyage that encompasses amazement and sometimes despair, moving from a state of fascination to one of distress, and vice versa.
The live band, consisting of Meghan Seeberg, Matt Billington, and Brian Alvarez, has played numerous shows in the NYC-area and have toured throughout the Northeast.
