Michigan based Suffer No Fools, formed in late 2021, hit the crossover sound itch, combining hardcore with elements of thrash and speed metal. On their new single “Tha Hard Way,” the band takes their hard-hitting style and packs it with an infectious groove and fervent vocals. The lyrics themselves address being authentic to yourself.
As vocalist Kyle Donovan notes: “The song is about individuality in the hardcore space, in a roundabout way. Not just basing your views and opinions on tweets from band folks you’ve never met. The understanding that this life is a fucked up maze we are all trying to navigate. And I’ve found its easier when you’re true to yourself. Because with all of life’s confusions and questions, the last thing I want to be confused about is who the fuck I am. ‘At the end of the day, it’s all about how you play’.”
You can listen to “Tha Hard Way” HERE. The song stems from Suffer No Fools upcoming album To Live Is To Suffer set for release later this year on Heroes + Martyrs. More details to come.
