Melodic metalcore band BLOOM have announced new album Maybe In Another Life, out 15th February 2024 – their first for new label, Pure Noise Records

Alongside the announcement is the release of the title track of the record, Maybe in Another Life.  The trackspeaks to the anxiety that can be buried in fantasy. The lyrics contrast the experience of a sordid existence and the indulgence of what could have been, and what could be. The song moves from a dreaminess desire to a lament on the harshness of reality, the voice in the song is “Lost in the fantasy, Of being anyone but me.” The listener is left with a sense of longing at the climactic moments of the track, with soaring, symphonic instrumentation that fuels the words “ Let me start again, I’ll make it count this time, Can I start over? Maybe in another life”

“The song speaks to the characters anxieties and their methods of distracting through fantasy.” says the band.  “The lyrics contrast the experience of a sordid existence and the indulgence of what could have been. The song touches on a desire to lament on the harshness of reality. “Lost in the fantasy of being anyone but me”. The listener is left with a sense of longing at the climactic moments of the song with soaring, symphonic instrumentation that fuels the words “Let me start again, I’ll make it count this time. Can I start over? Maybe in another life”.

Combining melodic and fierce instrumentation with emotive lyrics and impassioned vocals has always been a recipe for success in the Melodic Hardcore genre, and is something that Bloom pride themselves on their ability to achieve.

Forming in 2017, Bloom has always strived to put their heart and soul into every single release, exploring themes from broken relationships to grieving the loss of a family member. Their capability to convey deep emotion through surging and soaring songwriting with memorable hooks and choruses are second to none.

Bloom are no strangers to hardship; releasing their sophomore EP In Passing amid the pandemic in 2020, completing a 19 date Australian tour in the brief period of eased restrictions at the start of 2021, and writing and recording their next release entirely remotely with interstate producer Christopher Vernon.

BLOOM are now gearing up for a huge 2023 and beyond.

Maybe In Another Life is out 15th February 2024 on Pure Noise Records
