Hardcore and metal label DAZE continues to have a can’t stop, won’t stop 2023 and now they welcome Deadset to their growing roster. Hailing from Tampa, FL the band make their debut with the Deadset EP, out today. Made up of members of Three Knee Deep and Yield To None, Deadset have created a brutal mix of heavy hardcore, with blissful notes of metalcore, wrapped into early 2000’s mosh grooves. Taking influence from acts like 100 Demons, Kickback, and All Out War, you’ll hear roaring vocals surrounding thick guitars and speedy drum work. Recurrent visions of life, death, and finding inner salvation from a dark past are woven though the lyrics of the four tracks. The EP was recorded on a cow field in Dade City, Florida with Ethan Murphy at Back Forty studios (Six Paths, Planet Loser, Blistered), who also handled mixing and mastering.
Deadset have a few upcoming Florida shows including Three Knee Deep’s 10th anniversary show at Brass Mug In Tampa this Saturday and an appearance at FYA Fest in January, full dates below.
The Deadset EP can be streamed HERE and the 7” is available now through DAZE.
