In honor of Black Music Month, Los Angeles, CA band Zulu have recorded two new tracks as part of the Frequency x Spotify Singles collaboration. The band, who released the critically acclaimed record A New Tomorrow on Flatspot Records this past March, reworked the originally instrumental album track “Shine Eternally” and also contributed a cover of Slipknot’s “Wait And Bleed”. For “Shine Eternally” the band gives the song an even funkier jazz vibe with a beautiful, mellow vocal contribution from fellow genre-bending artist King Isis. On “Wait And Bleed” the band exemplify their own heavy take on the classic track and you can tell they had a fun time recording it. Both songs are available to stream now on Spotify.
More info on the Frequency x Spotify Singles collaboration can be found here.
Zulu will head out on a European and UK tour this week, including appearances at Outbreak Fest, 2000 Trees, and Jera On Air. A full list of upcoming tour dates can be found below.
