After several critically acclaimed singles like This Far, Roaming On My Own, Lucid, and Matching Frequencies, Brisbane-based artist Julio Inglez returns with another fine piece of sonic artistry that will unquestionably appeal to all the dream pop fans. Silent Blame is an adequate follow-up to his previous works, but it also showcases the innovations in terms of songwriting, composing, and producing. Perhaps Julio Inglez explores the fundamentals of dream pop, but this particular genre isn’t the only one you’ll notice while listening to this mesmerizing track. Quite the contrary, this highly creative artist incorporated some of the finest properties borrowed from other complementary music genres like dark pop, classic pop, alt-pop, rhythm & blues, chillout, downtempo, and even some ambient music. All these additional elements serve as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details that uplift Silent Blame on an entirely new level while Julio Inglez simultaneously remains loyal to the primary sonic direction.
You’ll immediately notice a calm, soothing, relaxing, nearly cathartic ambiance achieved by implementing profoundly melodic piano leads, catchy chord progressions, mesmerizing guitar solos, and delicate rhythmic sequences built upon electronic beats, break, accentuations, and other percussive acrobatics. However, Julio Inglez’s profoundly emotive, sincere, confident vocal performance makes this composition so ear-appealing. The artist perfectly balances between high, mid, and low notes, and there’s no doubt you’ll grasp all the flawlessly implemented vocal arrangements that emphasize every segment of the song. All these vocal and instrumental combinations resulted in a meaningful, powerful, emotive number where complex orchestrations and minimalistic approach arrive as a colossal slab of sonic artistry that will appeal to even the pickiest listeners. Silent Blame is unquestionably one of those dream pop songs that showcases the brilliance and musicianship of a highly talented and experienced artist. The single is available on all streaming platforms.
