After the successful release of her EP “Searching For Former Solace” (11.03.2022) and numerous concerts (including at the US festival “The Fest” in Gainesville, Florida), COLLETTI has written a brand new song. She recorded “Weeki Wachee” under the direction of Marco Kallenborn (CITIZEN TIM) and together with guest musician Christian Both aka Bo from THRILL OF JOY.
This is what she herself says about “Weeki Wachee”: “I had been stuck with the tune in my head for months but just could not come up with proper lyrics for it. They literally drifted towards me when I was paddling along the Weeki Wachee River during our vacation. I had a few lazy days behind me, just living in the moment, and sometimes I didn’t even know where we were – almost like childhood days. I was nostalgic and didn’t want to go back to real life. ‘Weekie Wache’ is a farewell to childhood and innocence. It is also an epiphany: There is this one person who manages to bring back the lightheartedness of childhood days in you.”
