About one year ago, Circa Survive dropped a pair of EPs: “A Dream About Love”and “A Dream About Death”, eachloaded with boundary-pushing music from the beloved alt-prog/post-hardcore giants. This December 16, the band will release “Two Dreams”, a combined full-length featuring both EPs available together digitally, on CD, and vinyl with special packaging.
“Two Dreams” comes after Circa announced an indefinite hiatus yesterday, marking the end of an era for the PA band. The album is bolder and more avant-garde than nearly anything they’ve put out before and is the result of a band nearly 20 years into their career forced to find ways to reinvent themselves in the wake of a global pandemic. Their absence will be missed but their impact will be felt and heard for generations to come.
