Hungarian melodic hardcore group The Idoru has released a brand new single called One Word. You can check it out below.
After a 10 year break, The Idoru came back strong 2020 with their original lineup and a new 3 song EP…The history of the band goes back to 2003, since then they played several headliner tours through Europe, Japan, as well as joined tours with other bands such as “Ignite” (Japan) and the legendary punk band Misfits on a few of their European tours. Since the start, the IDORU have released 4 albums and a few EPs. A new full length album is planned for 2023.
The Idoru is a post-hardcore band from, Budapest, Hungary. The group was formed in 2003 by ex-members of the Hungarian hardcore band, Newborn. The band quickly stood up and started to play several gigs in their local area, and soon after, several shows abroad. Spending their first year to establish a base for further actions, they realized that it was time for them to make their first recording. In the fall of this year, they started the recording, and on a New Year’s Eve live appearance of the band, the mcd entitled After the Storm (EP) came to life. This three-song debut was the product of the collaboration between the guys and legendary Japanese record label Alliance-Trax. The collaboration turned out well which resulted in their debut album titled Brand New Way, Brand New Situation (album) was recorded in late 2004. In the fall of 2004 the band joined the rooster of the successful uprising Austrian label Burning Season Records, and the full-length album was released in February 2005. In 2005 after recording their 3rd record Hopeless Illusions EP, they decided to leave Burning Season Records to join Deadbutcher Records. In 2020 the IDORU joined Swedish record-label Black star foundation to release a new 3 song EP
