Swingin’ Utters Commemorate 25th Anniversary Of More Scared LP

Hard-working punk rock outfit Swingin’ Utters will be commemorating the 25-year anniversary of More Scared: The House of Faith Years by pressing it on vinyl for the very first time. The limited edition release features color vinyl in two separate variants (black/white quad, black/white color in color), all new gatefold artwork, fully remastered by Grammy Award-nominated producer Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Deafheaven, Jeff Rosenstock) as well as a commemorative 10×10 anniversary poster. The album will be available in stores on October 28, 2022 and is now available for pre-order via SideOneDummy Records.

“We’re all really excited about this release,” vows guitarist Darius Koski. “Mainly because it’s the first time that it’s available on vinyl. This was an awesome important time in the band. We were doing pretty rudimentary stuff back then, but within that basic framework we were really finding our sound and laying the foundation for all of the work we’d do for the next 25 years.”

More Scared: The House of Faith Years is a compilation album by Swingin’ Utters that was released in 1996. It was the first full-length album released by SideOneDummy Records, and the band’s last release before they signed to Fat Wreck Chords. The album chronicles some of the band’s early material recorded with Bart Thurber at The House of Faith Studios in Palo Alto, CA (now located in Oakland), and it was released because these songs were difficult to obtain otherwise. This 25-year anniversary pressing marks the first time this record was released on vinyl.
