‘Mine To Lose’ owes as much to Rocket from the Crypt as it does Poison Idea and shows a more considered approach to their songwriting than the frantic 80’s infused hardcore offerings that Incisions are known for since forming 6 years ago.
Following the brutal nihilism of 2021’s ‘BLISS’ LP and recent single ‘Gasoline’, ‘Mine To Lose’ takes you on a journey from the depths of regret through the pain of losing yourself to your vices via a singalong chorus and relentless rhythm section. Whilst the opening lyric cries “it’s torture when I’m coming down” ‘Mine To Lose’ presents a confident band still moving in the right direction.
