Chastity started as a way for Brandon Williams to find community in his suffocating and isolating suburban life, his songs serving as an outstretched hand for the like-minded people on the fringes. Suffer Summer is an album that shows how healing and staying content is hard but necessary work.
Released on CD/CS/Digital formats in January, Suffer Summer will now arrive on vinyl formats on December 2, 2022 via Deathwish Inc.— check out the different variants and pre-order here.
Suffer Summer is both a validation and comfort that while the world might be irrevocably damaged, you’re not alone. This vulnerability is apparent in Chastity’s latest single, “Real World,” which premieres today. “Caught in the teeth of the real world, one by one we all get mauled, damn it all, damn it all,” Williams cries out in the song’s anthemic chorus.
