TARLD: The Amsterdam Red Light District Stream New Single, Threatened Generation

Highly-rated French melodic hardcore quartet, The Amsterdam Red Light District (TARLD), have revealed their brand new single ‘Threatened Generation’. The opening track is taken from their upcoming full-length release, Trapped, and will be released 20th May.

Guitarist Maxime Comby explains:

“‘Threatened Generation’ is a catchy and powerful track that highlights how we are all part of a threatened generation. It’s time to move the lines and become aware of the things that bring chaos to our lives; industry stakeholders, crooked governments, media misinformation. We are threatened, but we (the people) are not fooled: you cannot teach what you never learned!”

On the new single, which also includes Yukina from Japanese metal band HANABIE on guest vocals, the band comment:

“This song is written from a kid’s point of view growing up in today’s society. He sees and knows that he will evolve in a difficult world, and feels threatened and wants to find solutions. We’re facing more and more difficulties moving forward together on this planet, and our actions have terrible consequences for future generations.”

A bastion of righteous anger in their home country, TARLD are widely-regarded following the release of the debut Gone For a While and their second LP Sapere Aude. Hailing from Lyon, the band are first and foremost a live band; a frenzied tour-de-force of melodic energy. Influenced by bands such as Refused, Fever 333, Raised Fist and their collaborators in Stray From The Path, TARLD have shared the stage with many big names in the punk scene, touring Europe and Japan and performing at Hellfest, Jera on Air, Resurrection Festival, Groezrock and many more.

Primarily inspired by Enlightenment values, TARLD‘s music advocates liberty, progress, tolerance and fraternity. The band now return with their thumping new record Trapped, which features Drew York, Yukina from Japanese metalcore band Hanabie, and Mat Bastard from acclaimed French rock band Skip the Use.
