The Static Wake – Natural Selection

Cleveland, Ohio-based metalcore quintet The Static Wake recently released their first single in 2022. The band shares its thoughts about several topics that struck humankind for many years. Climate change, corruption, and nuclear war are just some of the themes The Static Wake covered through Natural Selection, which unquestionably resonates with so much power both lyrically and musically. For those who’re not familiar with the sound of this band, The Static Wake nurtures such a specific style based upon contemporary metalcore. Still, you may also notice some elements of melodic metal, melodic hardcore, beatdown hardcore, and post-hardcore. It’s an amalgam of thoughtfully selected complementary music genres that flawlessly work together.

The Static Wake thoughtfully assembled this particular composition to appeal even to the pickiest fans of these genres, but you may also enjoy it even if you’re entirely into other subgenres of extreme underground music. Natural Selection sounds and appears as wisely arranged metalcore number decorated with aggressive vocal performance, powerful guitar shreds, colossal low-end tones, dynamic rhythmic segments, clever arrangements, and relentless energy that will knock your socks off. This song carries all the qualities of contemporary metalcore music, plus even more sonic delicacies along the way. Natural Selection is available for listening on all streaming services.
