The legendary punk band around Pouzza Fest founder Hugo Mudie took off in 2010 with this record: Their third proper album Fire Works. Melodic punk straighter out of Montreal/Quebec, reminiscent of Hot Water Music. Formed in 1999, The Sainte Catherines have toured extensively with bands like Against Me!, Leatherface, and Leftover Crack, and were signed by Fat Wreck Chords in 2006. After becoming more melodic and slower for the first time with Fire Works than the hardcore effort Dancing For Decadence, the first album released on Fat, The Sainte Catherines captured punk hearts worldwide.
Frontman Hugo Mudie is the founder of the punk rock festival Pouzza Fest and recently reissued his split EP with Lagwagon’s singer Joey Cape on SBÄM Records. Fire Works retains the old cover artwork, but comes in three exclusive colors (green, red and green-red). The pre-order started on August 02 – the album will be re-released on September 24.
