V/A – Oi! This Is Streetpunk 2020 2×10″ (Pirates Press Records)

Pirates Press Records decided to spice things up at the end of the year. After the super rad compilations like For Family and Flag Vol. 1. and Oi! 40 Years Untamed, the label decided to release another brilliant sampler fully stacked with the greatest streetpunk hits you could get on vinyl record. Instead of following the tradition by releasing this compilation on 12″, Pirates Press Records stepped even further by introducing a double 10″ vinyl release. This double vinyl release includes twenty exceptional streetpunk anthems provided by the international Oi! artists. This sampler includes names such as Antagonizers ATL, Concrete Elite, Lion’s Law, The Welch Boys, Bonecrusher, Hard Evidence, Armada, The New York Hounds, 45 Adapters, Rebels Rule, The Young Ones, The Opposition, Faction S, Brassknuckle Boys, The Take, Fuerza, Doug & The Slugz, The Prowlers, Falcata, and Knock Off.

As you probably already noticed, there’s a lot of renowned names, but also a lot of lesser-known artists on the bill. However, the quality of the entire line up is undeniable, as each group provided the best compositions for this special occasion. Just like For Family And Flag Vol. 1. and Oi! 40 Years Untamed, Oi! This Is Streetpunk bursts with anthemic streetpunk tunes that are evoking the recognizable smell of the pubs, countless pints of beer with lads, memorable singalongs at punk shows, and so much more along the way. The aesthetics of a proper Oi! sound are implemented deep down into the foundations of this sampler, so you’ll unquestionably stumble upon highly addictive melodies, four-chord maneuvers, powerful riffages, catchy guitar solos, tight rhythm section, ferocious vocals, and anthemic singalongs. This compilation brings the football crowd directly onto your turntable because these songs are demanding tireless consumption over the loud speakers.

Pirates Press Records gave their best to deliver these engaging numbers in the best possible musical format for this type of sound. Nothing comes near vinyl format when you want rich, robust, loud-sounding punk rock, so Pirates Press Records nailed with this decision. The cover artwork solely follows the aesthetics of the presented music, so the main focus is on the involved bands. Besides simplistic but yet visually effective record sleeve, the inlay artwork includes loads of information, band photos, logos, tracklist, and info about the record label. Oi! This Is Streetpunk is available in two variants, such as standard black limited to 900 and ultra-clear and black pinwheel limited to 300 sets. Head over to Pirates Press Records web store and purchase this gem that will brighten up your record collection.
