Everyone needs some good old grindcore at some point of life. That’s simply a fact and anyone who denies is simply lying, so Húbris LP by Hørdür is a more than a great start for anyone who’s interested to hear how this genre supposed to sound or should sound today. Hørdür are powerful trio based in Lyon, France and whoever even scratched the tiniest surface of DIY underground scene, simply knows how strong French scene can be. Hørdür are no excuse here and there’s a twenty reasonable proofs to prove my point. These guys are taking grindcore as a genre to a very next level by incorporating various musical styles into it, so there’s a lot of powerviolence, black metal and hardcore punk perfectly implemented in a fast’n’catchy tracks full of screaming and growling vocals characteristic for grindcore, powerviolence and black metal genres. Don’t get me wrong, this is still the same old grindcore worship in vein of a lot of bands who played back in the 80s and 90s, but with a lot more clever arrangements composed for all the instruments involved. Also, I simply love that dumpster sounding snare drum which is pounding all the time, which leaves no room for breathing until the end of an album. Whoever grab his hands on this piece of masterpiece, definetly won’t be dissapointed at all, because Húbris LP is made for pure fans of grindcore by the people who love to play their grindcore properly. Húbris LP is published by the various labels such as Scullcrasher Records, LIXIVIAT Records, I Feel Good Records, Deaf Death Husky, Repulsive Media, Bisounours Prod, D-Beat Hjerte Records, Hecatombe Records, Loner Cult Records, Pasidaryk Pats Records, Rip Roaring Shit Storm Records and it comes with an impressive collage cover artwork which includes all possible infos, so there’s a lot of possibilities for you to get this record, carry it home and put it on a special place in your record collection.
